November 12, 2008 – 11:00 AM – New Siam II.

In the original handwritten version of this journal entry there is a sticker stuck on the page that we got stuck on our shirts when we went to Thai kick boxing last night. What this sticker means is that you are a dumb foreigner and you paid way too much for your ticket. It was 1,800 baht. The people sitting next to us told us that they paid 1,600 baht for the exact same seat. Everything is negotiable. Whatever, it’s all good.

Boxing in BKK is a much bigger event than in Chiang Mai. Bigger dudes and a bigger stadium. The crowd really gets into it and cheers every time a punch or knee is landed. It was a cool experience.

Today Kevin and I are going to do something we should have done long ago… get yellow shirts. Every Thai person you see on the street is wearing one but we cannot find out where they sell them. We have seen everything else for sale but not the yellow shirts. We're also going to Jim Thompson’s house and then tonight it is the full moon festival. Don't know exactly what that is but it is supposed to be epic. I’ll let ya know.
